my boyfriend wanted to buy me a camera as a gift and i picked the canon sd600. it is a gorgeous camera, tiny, takes beautiful pics and easy to work with. plus it was way cheap!!! love it!!

I have yet to use all of the features, but this was a great replacement for my old Sony 4.3 mp camera that (now) is quite bulky. Compactness = great, goes right in your pocket. Video is awesome (ny Sony played back smaller screen) and don't time out (take as long as you want), though the clips take a TON of disc space. I didn't like that there doesn't appear, that I can see, to be an indicator for what the battery life is. Last time it ran out, I got a few blinks all of a sudden, then dead. Also, I sure wish it had better zoom than 3x, though that is about the standard. Great camera. I highly recommend it for someone who wants something compact and that has a large viewing screen, quick reactiveness on the 'click', and also outstanding video capabilities at an affordable price.

I got the SD 600 to replace an aging Powershot S230 that I've had for almost 4 years. Never had any probles with the older model and didn't really consider anything but a Canon for the replacement. The new larger screen is sure nice as is the much faster response time. The SD 600 is a bit harder to use one-handed because there's less space for your thumb on the back side. I like the layout of the controls on the SD 200 a bit better, but the new 800 ISO feature is worth the upgrade. Lots of cool added features like the time zone shift and the thumbnail zoom in playback mode.

I've had this camara for about 3 months. The price was great and the picture quality is fantastic! The video is nice too. The best thing about this camara is the size to screen ratio. The camara is very small and the LCD is huge! The only draw back about this camara is the 3 way switch between camara, video, and playback mode. I have often taken a 3 second video thinking I am taking a picture. Other wise I love this camara!
